This edition of Coal News dates the move of the Notts NUM Galas to Berry Hill to 1954 and reports that the Notts NUM donated £5,000 for the building of a Band Stand.

This is the current rather sad state of the Bandstand. Mansfield District Council have recently become Trustees of the Park and are doing there best, with the finance they have, to preserve the Park.
